For over 100 years, the volunteers of San Mateo Public Library have given their time, energy and passion to support its success and growth. From greeting patrons to raising funds to sorting books, our volunteers are the heart and soul of the Library community. 

 

At the Library

Join the many people who share their time and talents as members of our San Mateo Library Team. One important volunteer group is Friends of the Library who run the Book Store in the main branch. As a library volunteer, you can make a difference every day.

With the Foundation

At our Foundation, our volunteers play an important role in helping us deliver outstanding events that important funds and raise awareness for the Library.
