On February 7th, we gathered at the Main Library for the launch and inaugural ride of "Mateo", the Library Explorer. Lion dancing, cake and a ribbon cutting with Acting Librarian, James Moore, San Mateo Mayor Diane Pappan and Foundation President, Ann Girard filled out the celebration. The library's new electric van will bring library programs to patrons "beyond the library's walls". Look for Mateo at farmers markets, community centers and everywhere in San Mateo!
