The Annual Authors Gala

​

is a lively celebration of the San Mateo Public Library and the inspiring role it plays in our community. Our generous attendees enjoy an intimate evening of music, food, drink and paddle-raising capped off by a stimulating presentation by a distinctive and relevant author of note. All proceeds from the event help support the Foundation’s partnership with the Library, which makes possible the state-of-the-art programs that serve San Mateo and Hillsborough residents of every age.

 

In 2019, the Authors Gala generated over $195K in proceeds for the Foundation, including over $80K specifically dedicated to the expansion of the Library’s technology lending services.
