How Can You Make a Gift?
Cash
Gift
A cash gift is the easiest and most convenient. Simply make checks
payable to the San Mateo Public Library Foundation. We also accept
VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
IRA Donation
Until December 31, 2007, donors who are 70.5 years of age may give
up to $100,000 from an IRA directly to a qualifying charity
without counting the gift as a withdrawal—and therefore income. Read more about the Pension
Protection Act of 2006…
Capital Campaign
Make a pledge to our New Library Building Fund through the
Capital Campaign.
Tribute Fund
Contribute to the Tribute Fund in memory or in honor of someone
special.
Acknowledgement cards are sent to
the donor and person designated. A bookplate is inscribed and
placed in a new book purchased for the library.
Will/Living Trust
Make a gift by bequest through your will or living trust.
Stocks
Gifts of stock can provide donors considerable tax advantages.
Contact Mary Harris Evans, Morgan Stanley (650) 340-6531 to make
arrangements.
Material Donations
Donations of books, videos, CD’s and DVD’s in good condition will
be added to the library’s collection or given to the Friends of
the Library for resale in the daily book sale at the Main Library.
